Creating Your Message

Learning Objectives
  • Develop training, professional development, and outreach about INFOhio using best practices and consistent messaging.

Watch this short video about the INFOhio brand.

Consistent Messaging

As an ICoach, you will share INFOhio with your peers and other adults. As you teach others, you will also learn more. It is important to use language consistent with the INFOhio brand for several reasons:

  • It helps build understanding of INFOhio and its services and resources.
  • It builds trust.
  • It supports credibility.
  • It helps others remember and recall INFOhio and the information you share about it.
Stay Connected

One of the best ways to stay on top of your message and keep on brand is to sign up for INFOhio's newsletters. There are two:

  • INFOhio News You Can Use/INFOhio in a Flash - delivered once every month, contains updates, new releases, and top social media stories
  • PD Newsletter - delivered once a month, contains content packages on a topic or resource and information on new and upcoming professional development options from INFOhio
The INFOhio Brand

Below are some dos and don'ts to help you consistently share INFOhio.

  • Do use the correct brand format: INFOhio. Avoid InfOhio or Infohio.
  • Do pronounce it in|fo|hio. There's no need to add an extra "o" in the middle.
  • Do use a capital I to write ICoach.
  • Do use "available at no cost" when talking about INFOhio's resources and web tools instead of saying "free".
  • Do remember key words and phrases from the mission and vision: equitable access, quality resources, cost-effective support, each student, educator, and parent in Ohio
  • Do use the four INFOhio services when explaining what INFOhio does: digital content, web tools, professional development and support, library software.
  • Do download logos and graphics provided to use in your PD,  training, or outreach.
  • Do use these links when sharing the resources for seamless access.
  • Do use language and content from the INFOhio Learning Pathway classes in training, PD, and outeach for consistency.
  • Do share the Logging In to Access Digital Content from INFOhio and Sharing Links to Licensed Resource videos to help others.
  • Do use What Link Do I Use?  to find the best link for seamless access to eBooks, videos, articles, and other instructional content in our premium licensed resources.
  • DON'T hesitate to share your presentation or outreach with your peers in the ICoach Open Space group!
